How many times have you had the conversation below? You 're trying to get you to do it and they 're saying "No, I don't like that." You 're telling them how many times they've really done the stuff and finally they say they've never done it, but also believe the they feel they don't like it. That's how many of us act when it comes to food, and especially safe food. 

The basic truth about eating healthily is that you need to widen your repertoire a little bit. Most of us are going to be bellyache trying a new meal, because we like what we're used to.
The items we've consumed for years have once been new to us too, and the problem is one of being locked in our ways. You can get to know variety better if you try something different every once in a while, and choose the new stuff you really want.

There is no point in bashing your head against a wall of bricks trying to cultivate a taste for something you don't want. You'll never know if you like it, though, until you actually try it. It is particularly true with regard to foreign cuisine. It may look different but it is consumed daily by millions of people, so it can hardly be poisonous. Taking a leap of faith and trying another food would not be your downfall, so why not try something else once a week and surprise yourself with how much you love it?
